Welcome to the IAFF Local 4260 Website. We represent the Emergency Telecommunicators of the City of Milford 911
PSAP (Public Safety Answer Point) located in the Milford Fire Department's Emergency Operations Center at Fire Headquarters
in Milford, Connecticut.
This site was designed to help answer questions regarding the 911 system in Milford and to give the citizens of Milford
a look inside their 911 center. This site is provided to you by the IAFF Local 4260 Milford Professional
Telecommunicators Association and funded solely by its membership as a service to the citizens of the City of Milford.
About our Dispatch Center
Our dispatch center is staffed 24hrs/day 365 days/year. Our dispatchers are Connecticut State Certified Telecommunicators
and National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch (NAEMD)certified. When a 911 call is placed in the City of Milford it is routed to our center where it is answered by one of
our dispatchers. If the call is Fire or Medical in nature the dispatcher will continue with the caller, if the call
is of a police nature, the dispatcher stays on the line with you while you are transferred to the emergency
line at the Milford Police department where you will speak with a police dispatcher regarding your situation. For more
